About this talk

This podcast 101 is meant for those who want to start podcasting, but don't know where to begin. What equipment do you need? (spoiler: not much) What kind of software for editing? Any special skills? Many things can be easily found online, but those often contradict and make it more confusing than necessary. We'll cover the basics so you know where to start!

It's an interactive session! We'll take questions from the audience during the session and you can send your questions in advance to podcast@efsj.eu or ask them via Twitter @krijnsoeteman.

We're not talking about what a podcast is. A podcast manifests itself in many different ways. It can be anything with audio, from a well-produced (radio) series to an hours-long talk between two people about many subjects at the kitchen table. Or something nobody thought of. Formats that work well for one type of audience may not work for another. If there is some time left, we can discuss some formats with the audience.
