About this talk

Satellite imagery and data generated by sensors orbiting the Earth can be powerful tools to help journalists in tackling the challenge of covering deforestation and forest fires in the Amazon region. By using Google Earth or other platforms such as the Global Forest Watch, reporters can get valuable insights to improve the quality of their work. In this session, we will give you some tips on how to navigate on these platforms — also, we will share amazing examples of journalism done with beautiful interactive maps. It´s geojournalism time!
